Dogs make the most favorite pets! They are
cute when they are young, provide us with an invaluable company as they grow,
and remain fiercely loyal even when they age; it is no wonder they have always
been referred to as man’s best friend. Most breeds of dogs are born small and
grow up to be huge and protective beasts. However, some dogs start small and
maintain their sizes throughout their lifetime. The following are 5 small dogs that stay small even in maturity.
#1 Chihuahua
Chihuahua is very popular dog breed for pets, especially among
celebrities. The "purse pooch" is the tiniest of all dog breeds,
standing at a measly 8 inches tall, with a weight of 2-6 pounds. Despite their
small stature, Chihuahuas have a reputation for being fearless and can
sometimes be tenacious and temperamental. They are comfortably suited for any
size of a home and do their exercise by running and playing around the house.
Their grooming time varies, based on whether the pup is long haired or
smooth-coated and they make a good choice for family companions.
#2 Papillon
Papillons come in cute and tiny
packages with a height of between 8 to 11 inches tall and a weight of 7-10
pounds. They are also known as “butterfly dogs” because their ears have a close
resemblance to the wings of a butterfly. These dogs show extremely intelligent
tendencies and are therefore easily trained. Many dog show participants use
them to exhibit their obedience and agility. Grooming constitutes daily
brushing to maintain their smooth coat and occasionally bathing them. They are
odorless pets and generally low maintenance on the list of dogs that stay
small.

energy in their small bodies, they don’t require that much exercise. Grooming
them entails brushing their highly prized long and silky coat on a regular
basis. These dogs easily fit in any homestead, from a sprawling mansion to a
tiny apartment; making it an ideal pet.

of puppies that stay small. They weigh as little as 3-8 pounds and grow to a
