10 Cute Mini Dog Breeds That Will Make You Smile


Dogs are a diverse species. Some breeds can fit in a purse, while others are nearly the size of horses. Here, we'll explore 10 miniature dog breeds that you'll want to cuddle with all day.      

1. Toy Fox Terrier
    

This teeny-tiny dog is less than a foot tall, with an average height of only 10 inches. This breed has the tenacious temperament of any other terrier, but the physique of a toy dog. They have tall, perky ears, and intelligent dark eyes. TFTs are one of the most cuddly mini dog breeds!   


  2. Yorkshire Terrier  

These beauties are even smaller, growing to only 8 inches tall! Known for their feisty, brave, and even snooty traits, Yorkies pack a lot of attitude into a tiny package. Not only are they hypoallergenic, but their coats are often floor-length and beautiful shades of gold and silver.    


3. Maltese 

The Maltese are an ancient dog originating in the palaces of the aristocrats of the Isle of Malta. That said, they are kind, affectionate and make perfect companions for children. Their coats are long and milky white and they have cute gumdrop-noses, but they are still surprisingly agile and fast.     

4. Japanese Chin   

This miniature breed also originates in palaces, specifically the pagodas of Japan. As expected, their temperament is calm and regal. Their heads are large, and their eyes are dark and round. 5. Shih Tzu
